Ok, I know this is not a new wellness trend. It has actually been around for thousands of years and a big practice in ayurvedic teachings.

I have been obsessed with dry brushing for years now. It has been a serious game changer in my skin care routine. I want to share this with you because it is an easy and effective way to detox your skin daily!

So, you’re probably wondering what the F dry brushing is and why you should do it. It is a great way to detox your skin, the largest organ in our bodies!  Of the many benefits of dry brushing, here are a few:

  • Wakes up the lymphatic system

  • Releases toxins

  • Removes dead skin cells

  • Eliminates clogged pores

  • Helps skin absorb nutrients

Here are my dry brushing steps by steps:

  1. Start before you shower and before your skin gets wet…of course do not get the brush wet.

  2. Scrub in gentle circular motions starting at your ankles and work your way up.

  3. Always brush toward your heart. In ayurvedic teachings, they say the lymphatic systems flows through your body toward your heart. MORE INFO

  4. The back is the only exception, brush from your neck to your lower back.

  5. Then, shower and finish with a good moisturizer. I love using coconut oil. I also like to add in my favorite essential oil such as rosehip, lavender, or tea tree oil.
