Motherhood: My Baby Shower
Thanks to my incredible mother for teaching me about becoming a mom. She proves motherhood is ultimately about an infinite amount of selfless love. Thank you, mom for all your help for my baby shower! Love you!
I just love this photo below. Three generations of mamas and babies…
#Babyjane. That’s what we have been calling her because we haven’t 100% decided on a name. My baby shower was a few weeks ago, and WOW, it was pure magic. I am so thankful for all of the beautiful women who helped celebrate Baby Jane…she is one lucky little baby to have so many wonderful people already in her life.
We hosted the shower at Bash (wedding + event design + bridal shop) in Bozeman, MT, which was just so perfect. The gals at Bash designed the entire shower from start to finish. They went above and beyond what I had imagined. Their bridal shop has a vintage, boho, Parisian feel…exactly what I was looking for. Plus, in their boutique is a beautiful floral wall, perfect for photos. Kait and Rachel at Bash definitely have an eye for great designs, beautiful decor, and the right style for any occasion. They made the planning process simple and fun. Many thanks to you ladies for helping make this day perfect!
Invitations
I love beautiful invitations. There is something exciting about opening a beautiful invite, right?! I have been following Tocci Calligraphy on Insta for a while now, and she is so so talented. Her work fit perfectly into our shower theme. She designed the invite with beautiful blush florals, and made them so elegant and beautiful. I cannot thank Tocci Calligraphy enough for the amazing invites. She also created all of the beautiful signs, name cards, and menu cards. It’s all in the details, and Jessica nailed it! A full post on the invitations is coming up next.
Decor
Montana Party Rentals provided all of the rental items and did a phenomenal job. The tables were rustic with velvet blush tablecloths, gold accents, and blush vintage glassware.
Labellum, a local floral boutique in Bozeman created the beautiful floral arrangements. The blooms accompanied the table decor perfectly!
I am so grateful my two best friends traveled a long way to celebrate baby Jane. They are both incredible mothers, I am lucky to have their wisdom as I bring a new life into this world.
Thanks to my beautiful sister for all of her help organizing the event. You will be the best auntie!
Drinks
Mimosas and Mocktails were the drinks du jour for the party. Pompey’s Grill, located in the Sacajawea Hotel (my family’s hotel & restaurant), catered the bar. Our bar manager curated the perfect mimosa bar and delicious mocktails for this mama-to-be.
Games
I am not a person who is into the traditional baby shower games, therefore my mother-in-law and sister-in-law stepped up to the challenge of finding a fun activity for the group.
The first was “Baby Prediction & Advice” cards. We had so much fun reading these the next day!
The other so called game was “Words For the Wee Hours.” “A word of encouragement a chuckle or two to give the new mom & dad a note just front you,” written on baby diapers. They are hilarious and I am sure we will get a kick out of them during those late nights. My favorite was “I want my grandma!” haha
Food
All of the delicious food came from Food For Thought Catering. We decided on a lunch/brunch theme as the shower was from 12pm to 2pm. The spread consisted of a beautiful chopped kale salad, a roasted pepper & carrot soup, avocado toast (obviously), and a chicken sandwich on a french baguette. So so good!
Dessert
Whipped Confections created the beautiful and delicious desserts. I asked for gluten free and dairy free options, and they were able to meet both requests. The spread consisted of coconut creme brulee tart, grapefruit + lavender + pistachios tart, and a triple berry gallet…my mouth is watering just thinking of them now!
SO many wonderful gifts for baby Jane…how cute is this bathing suit!?
Photography
Last, but not least, thank you for my wonderful friend Whitney Bird Photography for capturing this special day. I am in awe over these photographs and so excited they are mine to cherish forever.
