Mini Monsters Bash #2
Some of my favorite get-togethers have been for the little ones (see Halloween 2019 HERE). Before having kiddos, Halloween was my least favorite holiday. Now that Olivia is at a really fun age, it makes each celebration even better. This year I went with a more earthy and natural decor (mostly browns, white, greens, and a little orange) and the kids had an absolute blast.
The Menu
Black bean chili topped with queso fesco (regular and Siete brand non-dairy), jalapeños, sour cream, sweet onions, tortilla chips.
For the soup, the littles ones each had their own orange bell pepper. I scooped out the inside and cut out eyes and a mouth, the perfect Halloween chili bowl.
Snacks
Witch broom sticks: pretzels with string cheese placed on the bottom.
Cheese and crudités board, assembled on top of brown kraft paper, using a sharpie to label each element.
goat brie, Irish sharp cheddar, goat cheese, figs, dried prunes, blackberries, beef prosciutto, Spanish jamon.
Mary’s black sesame crackers, Simple Mills sea salt crackers.
Sips
Kids sipped on water, with spider ice cubes. Very simple to make.
Sweets
Caramel corn, Caramel apples, pumpkin cookies with creamy frosting, healthy-ish dirt cups
The Decor and Crafts
Lots of neutrals elements, like these bamboo plates and silverware. These GREEN GIGHAM NAPKINS and fun ORANGE STRAWS added a little color to the party. Also, used these min TIN BUCKETS, for candy and other goodies around the party.
Thanks to Montana Party Rental for making the set-up perfect. I used the SHEEPSKIN THROWS on the benches of the kids table. I love the cozy Scandinavian feel. Brown plaid TABLE CLOTH, this large RATTAN BEVERAGE DISPENSER for water. Beautiful AMBER GOBLETS, and my go-to favorite ARCACIA FLOWER VASES.
Games included, PIN THE SPIDER ON THE WEB and PUMPKIN PINATA. I also set up KRAFT PAPER (also used on the meat & cheese table) on the ground with markets and Halloween stickers.
THANK YOU to KELSEY for taking these great photos.
