Mini Monster Bash
I love throwing parties, but even more so, I love throwing kids parties. Olivia is finally to the age that every holiday is so much fun. This past October, we hosted our first Mini Monster Bash, filled with festive tricks, treats, and fun for the little ones….and maybe some good times for the adults as well.

The Decor & Favors
To set the scene, I placed a black and white gingham table runner down the center of the table, and on top of that, black pumpkins and skulls from Michael’s (which Nick kindly spray painted). I then added faux eucalyptus greenery from Amazon around the pumpkins. For the place settings, I found adorable plates from MeriMeri, along with ghost napkins. I topped each plate with a mini pumpkin that the kids could take home. My easy chic go-to cutlery are bamboo silverware.
The Treats
Let’s start with the drink for the kids. The kiddos had two options, either coconut milk with a black sugar rim, or charcoal lemonade (which was a hit!).
For the adults, we filled a large cauldron with dry ice, white wine and Champagne. The Chloe Prosecco is good and has a cute label. My shark husband served Moscow mules (use Fever Tree ginger beer, it’s the best) and Guinness Beer.
With help from Sweet & Tart, we served adorable gf bat cookies and sugar free cupcakes with cute toppers from MeriMeri.
For the Halloween inspired meal, we served turkey meatball with with tiny olives on top that looked like eyes, as well as black & white bow tie pasta. For the adults, our local shop Maven’s Market created a beautiful charcuterie and cheese board.
Activity
I struggled with an activity for a bunch of 2 year olds, so with the help of my mom, we decorated sugar cookies that she made. We provided black and white sprinkles and also frosting for decorating their own yummy treats. We also had a left over avocado piñata from Olivia’s birthday, which provided amazing viewing for all of the adults!
