Grilled Oyster with Jalapeno Mignonette
I feel August quickly slipping away. I want to share my favorite summer appetizer…grilled oysters with jalapeño mignonette sauce. With the help of my friends @burchbarrel, this has been on repeat! 🦪
I use to be very intimated by oysters. The thought of shucking oysters seemed daunting. Well let me tell you it’s not too hard at all.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon lime juice
12 oysters
1 tablespoon garlic
1 jalapeño, finely diced
2 tablespoons red onion, diced (optional)
Olive oil
Salt & pepper
Method:
1. Heat the grill on high
2. Stir together mignonette sauce
3. Shuck oysters (see method below$
4. Top each oyster with sauce and grill until sauce starts to bubble.
**I recommend watching a video on youtube as well. Oyster Video You will need an oyster knife and glove or kitchen towel. Insert the tool and twist, slide the tool between the shell.
