A 48 Hour Guide To Palm Springs

Guide To Palm Springs

Visiting Palm Springs is like stepping back into the 1950’s, in a very good way.

The architecture is retro and super fun. I had heard so much about Palm Springs having an older vibe and feeling like a retirement community.  However, it proved me wrong in a big way.  From the beautiful San Jacinto mountains, to the thousands of Palm trees throughout the area, to the perfect weather, I officially love Palm Springs.

My sister accompanied me on this trip, and we had two purposes.  First, find inspiration for our new hotel project in Bozeman, MT (the hotel we are restoring has a 1950’s vibe)  Second, attending the Bloguettes Instacamp (focused on growing your business via Instagram). This was definitely a fun “work trip.”

THE PARKER {Visit site}

Oh The Parker, you are the most instagramable place ever! Seriously, Jonathan Alder knew what he was doing when he decorated this amazing facility. The 113-room hotel is surrounded by lush gardens, great pools, amazing food, and so much more. My love for boutique hotels continues to grow, and the Parker is at the top of the list.

Our first stop at The Parker was the Lemonade Stand…aka “Lemonade” for adults. This isn’t the stand you remember with the cardboard sign and the cute kids selling their Mom’s lemonade for 25 cents a cup. Here, they have created delicious cocktails from fresh lemons. They are the perfect drink after a long travel day.

After our cocktails, we made our way to the cutest spa I ever did see for a little R&R. They call it the Yacht Club…how cute! The Yacht Club’s manifesto is, “We believe in the American country club experience: mixed doubles, a long steam, and a stiff cocktail.” Oh so good! Check out their other hilarious mottos to luxuriating here. The massages are amazing, and the entire experience at the PSYC is well worth it!

Be sure to spend a little time relaxing at one of The Parker’s pools. They are famous for celebrity sightings, and a pretty cool place to just chill out.

MISTERS {Visit site}

Even if you are not staying at The Parker, put Misters at The Parker on your itinerary. Again, the décor is so on point at this trendy restaurant. They make fantastic aromatic cocktails, and the food is fantastic.

WORKSHOP KITCHEN + BAR {Visit site}

The Workshop Kitchen is also a must, as this 90 year old theater has been turned into a contemporary and trendy James Beard Award restaurant. The entire menu is fresh, seasonal, and loaded with great small plates options. Make sure not to miss out on the shaved brussel spouts.

NORMA'S AT THE PARKER {Visit site}

Norma’s is a must for babes who brunch. This was a highlight of our trip. I enjoyed the best veggie omelet and multiple mimosas. Definitely try Norma’s Super Blueberry Pancakes…oh so good! Brunch at Norma’s is a little pricey, but well worth it!

As we continued our hotel design inspo tour, we came across the Ace Hotel. This cool place is a must to see and have a drink at in their Amigo Room. Great artesian cocktails in a fun, lovely atmosphere.
