French Toast

 

Saturday mornings are sacred in our house. Livv and I make a big breakfast and spend the morning as a family. Right now she is on a French Toast kick, here is our favorite recipe!

Ingredients

8 slices good sourdough bread: we like On the Rise locally here in Bozeman.

4 eggs

1 cup almond milk

1/2 cup almond flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Pinch sea salt

Maple syrup for serving

Powdered sugar for serving: we use monk-fruit powdered sugar.

Method:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, flour, cinnamon, salt. Dip each bread slice in the mixture, then place on a plate. In a non-skillet pan psray with coconut oil. Add bread slices, and cook until medium, brown about 2 minutes per side. Service with french fruit, maple syrup and powdered sugar.
