A Guide to Cabo San Lucas

Stay

There are endless options of chic Cabo accommodations, so it really comes down to what suits your need and what are want out of your trip. We have stayed pretty much everywhere in Cabo, each place has their own authentic vibe. Here are my top choices:

  • Montage Cabo San Lucas

  • One & Only Cabo

  • Esperanza: we are bias, our wedding was here.

  • Chileno Bay Resort

  • Las Ventanas

  • Pedregal

  • Hacienda Beach Club: We stayed in Villa 11.

  • The 1 Hotel Cabo

  • Budget Friendly: Bahia, all the Pueblo Bonitas, Cabo Surf, Grand Solmar.

We are back for a second time at Hacienda Beach Club. The reason we keep coming back, they have villas on property that you can rent through VRBO or through Hacienda Beach Club. We like having a house with private pool, including the amenities of a hotel. The personal 24/7 concierge services helps with all activities and will stock your villa before you arrive. Each villa comes with the VIP concierge, room service, and all access to the resort property. WIN WIN! You can book ours HERE!

We also love the views, private pool and in a good location for restaurants downtown Cabo San Lucas.

Do

Boat: Hands down my favorite activity. I would highly recommend a private boat, but Cabo has a few great group options. Check with your concierge on the best option. We like to go from 3pm to 6pm (sunset is the best on the water).

Sports-fishing: Rise with sun on the water, is the perfect way to start the day.

Jet Skies: I know this sounds touristy, but it’s so fun to ride around the famous arcs.

Drive to Todos Santos: Looking for an authentic experience, Todos Santos is your place. Just a short drive north of Cabo, this town has great food and amazing beaches.

Explore San Jose: San Jose is understated in my opinion. The art, culture, and food is to die for. Go to Tres Gallos, the Chef is incredible.

Cooking Class: Ask your hotel about this. We did one with the Chef at Cocina y Cantina, it was lovely!

Bon Appetit

To no surprise, Cabo San Lucas food scene is world class. From fine-dining to casual toes in the sand options, there is something for everyone.

Lunches

1 Hotel Food Truck

The Office: Has been a staple in Cabo forever. Get the shrimp in a bucket + their skinny margaritas.

Cocina del Mar @ Esperanza: Go here for amazing views, and the green margarita.

The Taco Bar @ Chillano Bay: Great vibe and views.

Sur Beach Club: Think sushi on the beach, plus a cool vibe.

Marea @ Montage: The views are beautiful and the fresh fish off the charts.

Flora Farms: The seasonal menu is based on ingredients grown on the farm Chef Tellez specializes in creating dishes with the farm's organically raised products. Highly recommend. The only negative for me, it’s not on the water.

Dinners

Travel Tip! When arriving to the Cabo San Lucas International airport, arrange transportation with your hotel. You will have a sea of people trying to sell you on a taxi ride into town. Save yourself the stress and set up a car service before arriving.
