10 (winter) Things to do in Big Sky

1. Sleigh Rides. @lonemountainrnach offers either a daytime sleigh ride or evening ride with lunch or dinner to follow. We’ve done both and each time love the experience. The daytime ride is great for kids.
2. Ski at Big Ski Resort. This is the obvious, but I am constantly in aw of the amount of skiing here. The terrain ranks as one of the biggest ski areas in North America. Pro Tip: for beginner skiers (aka my kids) there is a $50 beginners ticket, which includes access to the Magic Carpet & Explorer Lift. The Explorer Lift is long and perfect for kids.
3. Lunch at Everetts 1880. Located at the top of Ram-charger Lift, Everett’s 1880 is our favorite spot for lunch, the vibe is lively, the food great, and the view is amazing! You don’t have to buy a ski pass to dine here, ask the concierge for lunch lift tickets.
4. Ice Skate at the Village Center. The idyllic outdoor ice skating rink makes for great family activity. Make sure to stop by Copper Whisky Bar after for good food and a great mountain atmosphere.
5. Nordic Ski at the Golf Course. View are great and location is easy to access.
6. Apres at the @Montage. The newcomer to Big Sky, perfect spot for s’mores and hot chocolate after skiing.
7. Snow shoe. Have not done this however, there is a lit-up enchanted forest you can access with snow shoes. Adding this our list.
8. Snowcat Dinner. Nick and I did this a few years ago, it was fun. At Big Sky Resort they guides pick you up in a snowcat, take you to dinner in a yurt in the forest.
9. Stay. @lonemountain is the right amount of rustic cabin life with luxury amenities. The restaurant and bar are also excellent.
10. Tubing. Located just up the slope from Snowcrest Lodge features a 500 foot long tube park.
