Babymoons truly are bliss. Nick and I escaped for one last trip together before the expected arrival of our baby girl this Spring. It felt great to slow down and take some time to enjoy this pregnancy. As we all know, life can be very busy, and we often forget to take time to just enjoy the present. This few days in paradise was just what we needed. We enjoyed every sunset and spent plenty of time lounging on the beach, hands on my belly, waiting for every little kick from our baby girl.
We went back and forth so many times about whether to take this trip and where to go (as Zika has overtaken most tropical destinations). However, I am so happy we went and very happy we choose Oahu as our destination. Whether it was the Hawaiian air, the delicious mocktails, or the crashing waves, we truly felt at peace.
I am very grateful for this time we had together, experiencing a new place together, and I don’t take any of it for granted. We’re more than 7 months along, and I feel calmly unprepared for all the love and chaos to come.
